Sales Manager / Business Development Manager – Field Sales Job Description JD:
The Sales/Business Development Manager – Field Sales is responsible for leading and expanding the company’s client base through on-ground sales strategies, client visits, and business development initiatives. This role involves managing a team, identifying market opportunities, maintaining strong customer relationships, and achieving sales targets in a specific territory or vertical.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and execute field sales strategies to achieve company revenue goals.
Identify and target new business opportunities through client visits, market research, and referrals.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, consultants, contractors, and decision-makers.
Lead and mentor a team of field sales executives, providing guidance and performance tracking.
Prepare and present sales proposals, quotations, and contract negotiations.
Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to adjust strategies.
Coordinate with internal departments (technical, finance, logistics) for seamless service delivery.
Manage and update sales reports, forecasts, and CRM records regularly.
Represent the company at trade shows, exhibitions, and networking events.
Ensure post-sales follow-up, collections, and client satisfaction.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field. MBA is a plus.
8+ years of proven experience in field sales, business development, or key account management.
Experience in B2B sales, preferably in Construction, Industrial Products, MEP Services, or Safety Equipment sectors.
Strong leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.
Proficient in MS Office and CRM tools.
Self-motivated, target-driven, and willing to travel extensively.
Strong understanding of local market dynamics and client needs.
